In the latest round of cost-cutting at tech giants, Microsoft MSFT$530.02 is offering voluntary buyouts to about 60,000 employees, reports Business Insider.

According to regulatory filings, the company employed 223,000 globally as of June 30, down from 228,000 at the end of 2025.

The company has recently employed a combination of layoffs and voluntary programs to trim staff, but none approaching this size.

“The Voluntary Exit Offer reflects an important part of how we’re evolving our approach to change: creating greater flexibility and, where possible, more ways for employees to shape their next chapter,” wrote Chief People Officer Amy Coleman in a memo on Monday.

Anthropic’s prospectus shows that after years of negative results, operating cash flows in the first half of 2026 were a positive $3.929 billion.

That’s against negative cash flow of $1.513 billion in the first half of 2025.

In the second quarter, the company reported an operating margin of 8.4%.

That’s up from a negative 35.% in the first quarter.
