Live updates: Bitcoin tops $85,000, reclaims U.S. ETF cost basis for first time since January

Özet: Kripto piyasasında önemli gelişmeler yaşanıyor.

Ethereum-centric Bitmine (BMNR) also added to its stash, buying 27,562 ether (ETH) last week worth about $75 million at Monday’s prices.

That takes its holdings to 5.98 million ETH, or about 4.9% of Ethereum’s supply, putting its 5% accumulation goal within reach over the next couple of months at its recent pace.

Tom Lee, the firm’s chairman and founder of Fundstrat, said institutions have some catching up to do to crypto’s outperformance.

He said investors have been “underweighted” crypto this year after favoring AI stocks, and expects them to increase exposure into year-end as ETH continues its strong third quarter.

With bitcoin rising above $85,000, up more than 5% over the past 24 hours, it has reclaimed the average U.S.

This is the first time bitcoin has traded above the ETF cost basis since falling below it in January.

The level previously acted as resistance in May, when bitcoin’s rally stalled near $81,000.

Bitcoin treasury firm, Strive Asset Management (ASST) acquired 1,355 bitcoin for $107.7 million at an average price of $79,475, increasing its total holdings to 26,355 BTC.

Warrant exercises generated $21.2 million in gross proceeds after beginning last week.
