Live updates: Bitcoin tops $85,000, while Saylor returns to BTC buying
Özet: Kripto piyasasında önemli gelişmeler yaşanıyor.
Strategy (MSTR), the world’s largest corporate holder of bitcoin, is now positive for the year, up 5% year to date.
However, the stock remains 70% below its November 2024 all-time high, while bitcoin is down just 2% this year.
Bitcoin would turn positive for the year above $87,000.
Ethereum-centric Bitmine (BMNR) also added to its stash, buying 27,562 ether (ETH) last week worth about $75 million at Monday’s prices.
That takes its holdings to 5.98 million ETH, or about 4.9% of Ethereum’s supply, putting its 5% accumulation goal within reach over the next couple of months at its recent pace.
Tom Lee, the firm’s chairman and founder of Fundstrat, said institutions have some catching up to do to crypto’s outperformance.
He said investors have been “underweighted” crypto this year after favoring AI stocks, and expects them to increase exposure into year-end as ETH continues its strong third quarter.
With bitcoin rising above $85,000, up more than 5% over the past 24 hours, it has reclaimed the average U.S.
This is the first time bitcoin has traded above the ETF cost basis since falling below it in January.
